Vision

“The success of an intervention depends on the inner condition of the intervener.”
Otto Scharmer

The World Ethic Forum is engaged in an inquiry to explore and activate the preconditions for radically shared aliveness.

We come together to identify, name, make explicit, surface, nurture and acknowledge collective practices and capacities aligned with an ecocentric worldview. We believe that many of those practices and capacities are ancient but need to be brought forward, back to the surface, and integrated into the times we live in. More than simply listing them, we’re hoping to bring them to life in ourselves, as individuals and as a collective field.

We see the World Ethic Forum as a long-term endeavour, one that will hopefully outlive us and be an active contributor to a world-wide field of people dedicated to shift extractive, oppressive and structurally-unjust ways of acting and being with life. Beyond its initial seven-year arc, the organism we are developing is evolving to serve three functions:

  •  A space for the Firekeepers to inspire each other, hone skills, and serve as a collective field. As we continue to transform and integrate our practices into systems, the World Ethic Forum will serve as an energetic support for each of us, an intentional space where we can trust that our shared fire is tended to.

  • A space of learning where we can invite others, share what we learned together, and further evolve it. This is about providing the soil conditions for people who feel called to introduce the type of practices we’re exploring in their respective system, sector, field, or any domain they steward.

  • A collective capable of directly supporting others, offering advisory and process stewardship aligned with our ethos of celebrating diversity and radically shared aliveness.
