«A Day with the Seeds of Vandana Shiva» is a tribute to our matroness, the Indian scientist and activist Dr. Vandana Shiva, a tribute to her deep connection to nature and to her lifelong commitment to agriculture and food, to free seeds and biodiversity, and in particular to women. Last fall, to mark her 70th birthday, her biography and a new film premiered. We are pleased to continue the tribute to her work with our day event, to present the film and to invite to a great open conversation with the audience.
This conversation aims to create connections between people with different attitudes who are working and thinking with and on the vitality of the earth. The issues are urgent, from the expiring GenTech moratorium and the new technologies that are already creating «faits accomplis» under the radar to the need to negotiate regenerative agriculture with the entire political spectrum. This time of change is about sharing and empowerment, about connections, about information and inspiration. And about friendship. With each other and with the Earth.
P.S. If you are interested in the current criticism of Vandana Shiva and the analysis and counterstatement to the ARD-Faktenfinder article, you can find more information hier.
On the panel: Vandana Shiva, Martin Ott, Angelika Hilbeck and Linard Bardill

Food and drink
We like it simple, but fine!
The food truck from The Neighbours Food will spoil us with various vegetarian and vegan flatbreads and the coffee bar with fair coffee by Atinkana.
At the lunch kiosk, there will be various bars, snacks and soft drinks, as well as sandwiches with and without meat, just like at any real cinema box office. Coffee, water, wine and beer are also available all day.
On the large Lindenplatz, you can also bring your own food and drink, and Züri water can be enjoyed at the public fountain.
Please note: Unfortunately, restaurants in the area tend to be closed on Sunday.
